The Actor He Was: Rajesh Khanna The Marvelous ? Articles on ...

?Zindagi aur Maut Uparwale ke hath hai jahapana, jise na aap badalsakte hai na mein. Hum sab to rangmanch ki katputlia hai, jiski door uparwale ke haath bandhi hai KAB KAUN KAISE UTHEGA YE KOI NAHI JANTA?.?

Rajesh Khann The SuperStar

18th of July, 2012 was the day our dearest Rajesh Khana ?Kaka? died due to an unconfirmed illness. The whole generation, comprising of the Boomers, Baby Boomers and youngest of all, who lived their life dreaming about SuperStars cried hard when they first heard the news of his demise, and during his funeral in Mumbai.

Lately, in News and all, he was seen being unwell, driven to hospital, coming out well, cheering his crowds, and his last appearance on Screen, a short Ad film for Havell?s Fan. I guess, nobody must have guessed that it was the last time they?re ever seeing Kaka on the screen. The realization of loss was sudden and sharp, for all of us.

The whole generation of India, spanning from 1970 to 2012, grew up watching his films. The first SuperStar of Indian Cinema was the best thing to happen ever after The Partition. I?m not unaware about the his stardom, his charm, and how girls used to love him, chase him and so on. I might not have lived my initial phase of life going Theaters and cheering on his films and dialogues, however, whatever movies of him I watched in Television was enough to make me fell his talent, ability and Star Power. He was the Showman of a unique kind. His girth, charm and charisma was enough to make any of his movie portrayal a Legend.

I still remember watching Aradhana, where he sings a song ?Mere Sapno ki Rani? in a Jeep while chasing the heroin in the Train, and I must say the whole experience of watching him sing and his maneuver-isms was amazing. Similar applies to his portrayal of Anand a dying patient in Anand. The depth of his character, the dismissal of pain and whole sarcastic portrayal of a dying man was heart-wrenching. I?d always put that character as one of the best in whole Indian Cinema.

As he claimed, he lived his life fullest, and I do agree, he lived a life which every actor dreams of. He lived in the warmth of his audience and well-wishers. But seeing him going away was a sad experience, and feeling the loss of all those 50years of his movie experience, realizing that warmth will never come back but in memories and movie clips, was the saddest experience.

With a record of 15 hits in a row, and magnanimous applause from his fans, Kaka still lives as the greatest legend in Indian Cinema. Denying that magma will be a foolishness.

Here is a 9 Part Film on him, made by BBC during his heyday. It feels great to watch these clips and relive the life of being a Kaka Fan.
